I did not come to Christian Science for physical healing, but because I saw many wonderful proofs of the healing power of Truth in the family with which I live. I cannot say how grateful I am to God and to Mrs. Eddy for all that Christian Science has done and is doing for me. It has brought me more contentment, joy, and happiness than I ever experienced before, and has altered my old belief in God as a God afar off, to an understanding of Him as divine Principle, the creator of every right idea, always ready and willing to help when we ask aright.
Several times I have proved Christian Science to be the ever present Comforter and healer. One day in the early spring, when I was walking with friends, my foot slipped and my ankle was badly sprained. The pain was so great that I fainted; and I would have fallen had my friends not supported me. One of them at once declared the truth, and I was instantaneously healed. To me the wonderful thing about this demonstration was that I was healed at that moment from an old trouble in the same ankle, which had become weak and swollen through a fall I had down the stairs in our villa eighteen years before.
I have also been healed of self consciousness, and of the thought that no one wanted to speak to me. Now I look out for those who appear to be alone, and speak to them. Words fail to express how thankful I am that Christian Science has come into my life; and my daily prayer is for a better understanding of God.— Stockholm, Sweden.
