MAN'S DWELLING PLACE

From the December 1927 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.—"Psalms 90:1.

Man lives in God!
His home is in the consciousness of good,
The "secret place," where Love is understood
To be the Father, Mother, All-in-all;
A peaceful habitation, where no thrall
To error's seeming power can be known,
But joyous rest, contentment—these alone
Are precious gifts, yet bountiful and free
To all who find their dwelling, Lord, with Thee.

Man lives in God!
Oh, truth divine that frees from realm of dreams,
Where fear mesmeric wields a power that seems
Too great to master! Wake, and now rejoice!
For man's eternal home is where God's voice
Is ever heard to govern, guide, and bless.
Then rest secure. His care is never less
Than full and constant, Love's embracing power
Complete protection every passing hour.
