With a grateful heart I wish to testify to the blessings I have received in Christian Science. My second oldest daughter had suffered since early childhood from a throat trouble which caused her a great deal of discomfort. She often suffered from inflammation of the throat and high fever. A doctor whom we consulted treated her for a long time, but without any result. He said there was a growth in her throat which would have to be taken out later on. As my daughter heard with difficulty at times, I consulted a specialist, who treated her for a while, but also without avail. He then advised an operation, but I could not decide to have it performed.
At this time a dear friend came to see me and called my attention to Christian Science, by which she had been healed. I turned to a Christian Science practitioner, who most lovingly explained the power of divine Truth and Love, and I asked for help for my daughter. After the very first treatment there was an improvement, and after the third treatment the trouble had entirely disappeared. As we belonged to a sick benefit organization, I was obliged to give notice that medical treatment had been discontinued. I was obliged to take my daughter to be examined again by the doctor, who declared her to be perfectly well. This healing took place twelve years ago, and there has been no return whatever of the complaint.
I also witnessed the healing of my youngest daughter. From the time of her birth until she was seven years old she was under medical treatment. The doctors diagnosed her difficulty as a weak lung. She was troubled day and night with high fever and attacks of coughing. We turned to a Christian Science practitioner, who at once lovingly gave her absent treatment. Her healing was instantaneous and permanent.
