During my last year in high school, I was invited to attend the Sunday school of The Mother Church. The Sunday school teacher taught me how to study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly and lovingly encouraged me to persevere, even though what I was reading was not at first clear to me. In a few months, I realized that I had not had a headache for sometime. My grandmother, mother, and aunts had always been subject to very severe headaches, and in my early school years I had many unhappy days because of this trouble. This healing, which has been permanent, proved to me that the truth does heal when we are conscientious in our study, although our understanding may be small.
After I was married and our little girl came, Christian Science meant more to me than ever before, because I had to work out many new problems; and when I turned to Science, I always found my answer.
The little girl has had many instantaneous healings. Through the help of a practitioner, whooping cough was completely overcome in a short time. The coughing was very bad the first night, and because we were fearful we called a practitioner. The condition seemed aggravated during the night, but the cough disappeared within two weeks.
