SECURITY

From the November 1943 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Since Thou art my Guide, no evil snare or pestilence I fear;
My hand in Thine doth rest secure and close — Thy presence near.
Thy healing love surrounds me everywhere my path shall go;
I cannot wander blindly, for Thy gentle voice I know.

The wilderness of doubt and fear and pain cannot be real;
I need but turn my thought afresh to Thee — Thy presence feel.
The wilderness, 0 Lord, is but a threshold to the light.
Where we can journey on into the fullness of Thy sight.

With songs of praise for God's unfailing care throughout each day,
We take each step with confidence and peace along the way.
Joy breaks forth like the dawn; with joy we use each passing hour,
Rejoicing in this perfect truth: good is the only power.
