"Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me" (Isa. 45: 11). This is God's impelling message as it was revealed to the inspired prophet Isaiah. The consciousness that yearns for an understanding heart is given a knowledge of the things of God, good. In reality there is nought else to know, for God made all that there is and pronounced it very good.
To grasp the ever-available, priceless knowledge concerning the immortal work of God's hands is defense against and victory over the supposititious work of evil, ignorance—mortal mind. How wise, then, to turn directly to the creator, the infallible source of all real knowledge, intelligence, judgment, and wisdom, for the truth of God and man. Contrarily, so-called mortal mind suggests that we turn to the body with its unreliable material senses to seek a knowledge of man.
But mortal mind bases its deductions solely on materiality. It asks the physical body whether it feels well or ill, hot or cold, tired or energetic; it measures, weighs, and gauges matter, and thus reaches only false conclusions concerning manhood.
