I am grateful for Christian Science. Through it I have had healings of various kinds, and faults of disposition have been corrected. Problems have been solved, sometimes through the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and at other times through the help of a practitioner.
However, it was not for physical healing that I first became interested in Science. Many years ago a dear one passed on; and friends, wishing to be helpful, said that it was God's will that she be taken away. I refused to believe this and became disillusioned and dissatisfied with my religion. At last I found complete comfort and peace in Christian Science.
Truth, even faintly understood, has healed me many times of colds, headaches, and indigestion. When a serious illness developed I studied Christian Science day and night. With the help of a devoted practitioner a complete healing resulted, though it took some time and required the elimination of much faulty thinking. I am so grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us the truth and to the faithful practitioners, who patiently help to bring the light of Principle to every situation. Mrs. Eddy assures us in the textbook (p. 557), "Divine Science rolls back the clouds of error with the light of Truth, and lifts the curtain on man as never born and as never dying, but as coexistent with his creator."
