The members of The Mother Church attending the Annual Meeting on June 2 listened with much interest and gratitude to the reports of the progress of Christian Science throughout the world. Gratitude was expressed for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her courage and alertness in organizing The Mother Church and its branches, whereby the message of Christian Science reaches the receptive thought of mankind to enlighten, bless, and heal.

The meeting opened with the singing of Hymn No. 207 in the Christian Science Hymnal entitled "Mother's Evening Prayer," the words of which were written by our Leader. The retiring President, Miss , then read passages from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy:
