The Psalmist sang (Ps.91:1), "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." I am humbly grateful for the many proofs I have had of this truth through the study of Christian Science.
One evening, I was quietly knowing that God, Mind, is omnipotent and that His idea, man, is safe, secure, and permanently established in this one Mind. I was grateful that I knew enough of Christian Science to have positive faith in the allness and omnipotence of God.
Later that same evening I boarded the elevated train. It was my habit to occupy a certain seat in the car, but as I started to sit in my accustomed place I was led to take the seat directly back of it. Aside from the conductor, there was only one other passenger on the car. As we passed an elevated railroad station which had been closed for the night, there was a sharp crack, which sounded as though some part of the car's mechanism had broken.
