TEACHING IN THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SUNDAY SCHOOL

An experienced Christian Scientist said to me one day, "The mature Christ looks out of the eyes of the child." If this is so, we should be careful in our work in the Christian Science Sunday School not to limit the pupils by thinking of them as immature. Christ Jesus saw children as possessing qualities which are sometimes hidden in the adult. He said (Matt. 18:3), "Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."

Mary Baker Eddy gives this definition of "children" in the Glossary of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (pp. 582,583):

"The spiritual thoughts and representatives of Life, Truth, and Love.
