It is with gratitude that I look back over the past seventeen years to the time my parents became interested in Christian Science and enrolled my brothers and me in the Sunday School.
I knew that Science was the only way of Life for me, and slowly and steadily as I learned to apply the truths which I learned in Sunday School I grew out of the self-consciousness that seemed to be a part of my teen-age experience.
Fear of performing on the piano, as well as speaking before a group, was finally and certainly met when I was in my last year of college. I was required to play in a program with other music students, and as the time drew near I prayed more earnestly to be delivered from fear and to realize that the ability I expressed was God's, reflected by me as His image and likeness. Steadily peace of mind was gained; and on the day of the recital I was filled with the consciousness of Love's allness and felt a great sense of joy at being able to give.
