I came into Christian Science, not for a physical healing, but because I was dissatisfied with the old order of things, which was crumbling around me and was leaving me homeless, jobless, separated from friends. In one treatment from a practitioner I was healed of grief and sorrow, so that my outlook was changed to one of happiness and peace, and it seemed as if I moved on air. I have never since had any doubt that Christian Science heals, although many problems have come up to be solved.
I have been healed of influenza, the common cold, sprains, burns, and conjunctivitis. Inharmonious relationships have been righted, home and business problems have been solved, and I am very grateful for those in the practice who have helped me to glimpse my true selfhood.
Returning from a maturing experience in the United States some years ago, I at once took steps to set up housekeeping anew and to devote all my time to the practice of Christian Science. It was a beautiful and happy unfoldment, illustrating in some measure Mrs. Eddy's challenging words, "We live in an age of Love's divine adventure to be All-in-all" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 158).
