A New student of Christian Science may joyfully accept the emphasis this Science places on the first chapter of Genesis as the record of spiritual actuality and begin at once to apply its truths to his daily experience. He may recognize particular circumstances as opportunities to rouse himself, that is, to replace false Adam-dream views with what he knows of spiritual creation. This recognition of opportunities is progressive. Activity within the framework of the Church of Christ, Scientist, affords many of these opportunities.
Since the mortal view of a group of people so often presents a picture of conflicting entities, it is well to refer to the definition of "I, or Ego," in the Glossary of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It reads (p. 588):
"Divine Principle; Spirit; Soul; incorporeal, unerring, immortal, and eternal Mind.
