My prayer for help in a dark hour brought to my door that very evening a stranger offering a copy of a Christian Science lecture. This woman had just finished reading it herself, and her obedience to an angel message to pass the lecture on opened a new life to me. That lecture revealed that God is Mind and that He is omnipresent, the one Mind present everywhere.
The first talk I had with a Christian Scientist freed me from the bondage of an anticipated lifetime diet and the need of always taking medicine. During that talk I was instantaneously healed of a painful liver condition and without fear the very next day ate what was set before me and discontinued the use of pills. This healing occurred many years ago. The study of Christian Science to learn how I was healed has been a joyous experience for which I shall never cease to be grateful.
Sometime after this I suffered for months from a troublesome nerve condition of the eyelids. During this time the only way I could get even momentary relief was by rubbing the eyelids. I was instantaneously healed of this also after calling a student of Christian Science and asking for help one afternoon when there was important work to be done at a conference which needed alert concentration. That afternoon after asking for help I enjoyed the peace that only God can give.
