I am grateful for a healing which was manifested in our home about two years ago and which a number of persons, not Christian Scientists, acknowledged as the effect of God's law in operation.
The school authorities called to say that they thought our daughter had impetigo and that if it was impetigo, they didn't want the child in the classroom where she could contaminate others. I assured them our desire was to cooperate and that we certainly didn't want her to be in the classroom if her presence was going to make others fearful.
I made an appointment with the school physician so that, should the school's diagnosis be wrong, our daughter would not miss any schoolwork. If the doctor were to concur, we felt that then her place would be in the family so that we could work the problem out in Christian Science. We also began to think of quarantine not as punishment but as an opportunity to work with God more closely.
