"The certainty of ultimate perfection"

From the August 1967 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The triumph of good is inevitable. Christian Science reiterates and demonstrates the teaching of the Bible that God, Spirit, made all and made it good, and that evil, therefore, is unreal. Nothing imperfect can exist in God's universe.

Accepting these truths as the basis of our reasoning, we can face evil's claim to existence and power with the equanimity which flows from steadfast spiritual conviction. We can know that because God is omnipotent the triumph of good is inevitable, and we can demonstrate in our daily life that abundant good is completely natural.

Mrs. Eddy describes the great mental upheaval the world is experiencing today, and she outlines the vital, ameliorative mission which her faithful followers have in it. She writes: "Mortal error will vanish in a moral chemicalization. This mental fermentation has begun, and will continue until all errors of belief yield to understanding."Science and Health, p. 96; She further states: "During this final conflict, wicked minds will endeavor to find means by which to accomplish more evil; but those who discern Christian Science will hold crime in check. They will aid in the ejection of error. They will maintain law and order, and cheerfully await the certainty of ultimate perfection."
