What are young people today really seeking? Are they so different from earlier generations? They seek what youth has always sought —an understanding of real selfhood, the capacity to maintain satisfactory relationships with others, the ability to achieve values here and now, a bright future, the hope of changing the world into a better place. What obstacles do young people face in reaching their goals? Sometimes we hear it said that the claims of evil young people face today are more aggressive than those of earlier times.
