"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength" (Isa. 40:31). When old and sick to human sense, I went tp the mountains and became acquainted with a dear woman who lent me writings on Christian Science. The Bible passages that were familiar to me now became better understood as applicable. Soon after that I had my first proof that one can trust divine Love.
It seemed impossible to get a room, but I started out confidently on the way to a higher valley in order to inquire there. I had scarcely gone several steps when a car stopped beside me, and I was invited to ride along. I got in and told the owner of the car that I was looking for a little summer house up there. He told me that he had a cottage and a garden and that I could live there if I was not afraid of being alone. I gratefully accepted and spent a very pleasant summer. I then returned home.
My health was better, and a life full of work began. I became a member of The Mother Church and of a Christian Science Society and had class instruction, for which I am very grateful.
