It was my privilege to be raised in a Christian Science home. During my childhood many wonderful healings took place, involving other members of the family as well as myself.
One healing I vividly recall took place after my brother, taking the advice of a friend, put lye on a wart. Blood poisoning set in, and his arm became greatly enlarged. My mother prayed diligently in Christian Science to see that poison is no part of God and therefore could not be part of God's creation, man. She stood firm despite the predictions of a physician friend that the arm would have to be amputated if my brother was to survive.
A Christian Science practitioner was called to help, and we all prayed to know that divine Mind was all that was governing. Within three weeks the arm was normal in every respect; the healing was complete.
