In the Bible we find many records of healings taking place through complete reliance on spiritual means alone. In the Biblical records of Christ Jesus' healing ministry, for example, there is no mention of his ever using material remedies. His healing work was accomplished through spiritual means alone.
The basis of the Master's healing success was his absolute conviction that God is Spirit and man is His perfect child. Jesus clearly did not accept as true the picture of disease presented by the material senses. It was the Master's reliance on divine Love and his obedience to divine Mind, his Father, to whom he was always listening, that enabled him to heal with scientific certainty all those who sought his help.
The Master clearly expected those who followed him to do healing and regenerative works themselves. John's Gospel presents him as saying: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." John 14:12; Here lies the great challenge of our age. However, these works Jesus spoke of can only be accomplished through obedience to divine Principle, Love.
