In 1925, a neighbor who was struggling with a physical problem was told by the doctors they could do no more. Someone recommended Christian Science to her. She discussed it with me, and I encouraged her because my brother had had some outstanding healings in Christian Science of tuberculosis, heart trouble, social drinking, and the smoking habit. As my neighbor was nearly blind, she asked me to read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to her. Through this I became interested in applying Christian Science to my own thinking.
In that town in the South where Christian Science was then little known, I came in contact with four students of Science. We worked together and soon formed a Christian Science Society. In 1946, I was healed of recurrent heart attacks.
I am very grateful for the healing of inharmonious relationships, some of which looked hopeless.
