Early in 1966 I was healed in Christian Science of a condition that affected my vision. One day in February suddenly I saw everything double. I realized the grave necessity of praying to God for guidance, and I was able to reach home safely. This occurred when I was driving in my car, not far from my home.
I thought perhaps my driving glasses could be corrected. So I asked a member of my family to drive me to an optometrist. I did not go for a diagnosis, but that is what I received. The optometrist said, in his opinion, there had been a hemorrhage and that the outer muscles of the right eye were paralyzed. He described it as a slight stroke.
This distressing condition became aggravated until, realizing that I was not meeting it with my own prayers, I appealed to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment. Improvement took place immediately. Although the complete healing was not instantaneous, by April the difficulty was completely healed.
