For many years I have received much encouragement from reading testimonies in the Christian Science Sentinel. These accounts of spiritual healing have convinced me that nothing is impossible with God.
After the birth of our first child, I was told that X-rays taken during labor revealed that my pelvic structure would not accommodate delivery of a child over a certain size.
A period of seven years elapsed before I became pregnant with our second child. This time was used to refute the medical opinion concerning my ability to bear a sizable baby. The doctor we found to help with this second birth was supportive of our desire for a home delivery and of our wish to rely on Christian Science without the use of medication. He knew nothing of the history surrounding the birth of our first child, but we did not see this as foolish or as an invitation for trouble. We felt we were ready to trust God as the all-knowing and wise Physician, and to discount the reality of what matter tried to dictate.
