"No night there"

Revelation 22:5

From the December 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

What would happen if
light could meet darkness?
Would light regulate,
handle, outshine it?
Would there be protest,
struggle (brief, prolonged)?

No. Light does not see
then unsee darkness,
nor assimilate,
control, outline it.
Light knows no contest—
night never belonged.
