Song of light

From the December 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In the nighttime of a sorrow,
In the depths of a despair,
The light of God's tomorrow
Is a glory everywhere.

Though forward steps are stalling
And weary hope seems spent,
Soul sings—at Spirit's calling!
And doubting thoughts repent.

There could not be a single place
Where God's love doesn't shine.
The crown will round the cross with grace
And victory be thine.
