The ordering of our lives

From the December 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Everything in God's universe is controlled by His law of harmony and order. The mortal senses testify to a world in public and private disarray, yet the divine order remains undisturbed, untouched, uninterrupted. Chaos can never escape from the realm of illusion to invade the kingdom of God.

Christian Science provides the rules that bring order to our thinking and to our affairs. Obedience to these rules removes the hodgepodge of confusion— the mistakes, mishaps, misunderstandings, misplacements—that plagues mankind; obedience gears our lives to run smoothly. One of these rules gives us the starting point for getting our lives scientifically organized. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes, "To grasp the reality and order of being in its Science, you must begin by reckoning God as the divine Principle of all that really is."Science and Health, p. 275; We must acknowledge infinite Mind as the source of all our capability and "copeability," wisdom and efficiency.

In our true being we reflect the action of Spirit, which simultaneously regulates all things in its infinite universe. God's law synchronizes every detail of creation into one grand symphony. Omniscient Mind oversees and unites all elements of Life into one concordant whole.
