Why go to association meeting?

From the May 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A friend of mine found out. He had come to a large city a few days early for the meeting of his Christian Science Students Association. It had been quite a challenge that year for him to get there, but he made it.

In gratitude, he wanted to do what he could to help support this special gathering. So he decided to go to a Christian Science Reading Room to pray and study to gain a better concept of it.

To his surprise, he found the Reading Room was staffed by someone he knew. They chatted for a while, and then my friend began to study. As he read and prayed, he saw so clearly how an association meeting has its roots in deep spiritual activity, which includes completeness and overflow of good. This activity is never fragmented, depleted, or incomplete. As he was leaving, he felt great joy and peace.
