For all mankind

From the May 1980 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Do those of us who are already students of Christian Science tend to view this Science as exclusively our own to apply and demonstrate? Do we avoid the outside world, confining our friendships to fellow church members? Do we sometimes even snobbishly regard ourselves as being "not as other men"?Luke 18:11; If so, is it any wonder our demonstration of Church sometimes seems limited?

True, the Scriptures tell us, "Come out from among them, and be ye separate."II Cor. 6:17; But doesn't this divine command call for us to separate ourselves from materialism, from worldliness of thought, word, and deed—not from the world's populace? Should we not, then, recognize that the Christ, Truth, is God's gift to all mankind to understand and demonstrate so that all may be one in the truth?

Someone may say: "Fine, but just what does this mean to me? How shall I begin?" With prayers.
