Before I found Christian Science, my life was influenced and directed by a concept of God as both good and evil— a God who gave peace and comfort to only a select few. I believed that man was caught in a conflict between bad and good and that even when he wanted to do right, he often failed. I felt this was especially true for me.
Divine Science completely changed my understanding of God and man. I learned that God is good and that He is Love. I also learned that His creation, man and the universe, reflects Him eternally. With deep sincerity I submit this testimony, and I hope that others—who have found these same erroneous concepts unsatisfactory—may learn what is scientifically true of themselves and their fellowman, as I have.
It was not without argument and struggle that I first began reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. At the time, I was employed at a medical research center. I was committed to the theories of material medicine. However, as I continued to read and ponder this inspired textbook, I realized more and more clearly that it contained all the scientific answers that I would ever need.
