Our part in the healing

From the April 1981 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Christian Science brings sure healing. There's no doubt about that. God is the healer, and His work is accurate and absolute.

But what part does the patient play in this activity? A careful study of Christ Jesus' healing work, which is our model, indicates that certain qualities of thought are present when a cure is accomplished. "Wilt thou be made whole?"John 5:6Is one willing to give up preconceived ideas regarding the substantiality of matter, dependence on it, or the belief that man is a miserable, doomed sinner?

These are just a few of the misconceptions that would delay or interfere with recovery from illness. Recognizing and correcting them, we speed the regenerative process.
