The following is a practitioner-patient dialogue that addresses a subject of growing concern to society. The increasing incidence of venereal disease is a major social problem, a challenge that calls for a radical solution—a spiritual answer. In this case, through complete reliance on prayer the patient was healed of venereal disease. But more important was the spiritual regeneration that has transformed his life style in the years since.
Practitioner: How long have you been a student of Christian Science?
Patient: For many years. I've been active in both my community and branch Church of Christ, Scientist. In my area I'm well known and respected, and readily identified as a Christian Scientist.
