My gratitude for the saving grace of God...

From the August 1990 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My gratitude for the saving grace of God, which I have found as a student of Christian Science, impels me to share a significant healing I witnessed early in my study of Science.

Our young daughter and son used to enjoy running down a hill behind our house and leaping onto a huge flat-topped boulder at the bottom of the hill. One day our daughter misjudged the distance she needed to jump to the boulder and landed on her face instead of her feet. As I was cleaning up her face, I noticed that an upper front tooth was broken horizontally in half, with the top half still in place but the bottom half lodged high in the gum.

I knew I was free to take the child to a dentist to have both sections of the tooth removed, especially as it was a baby tooth and would be replaced by a permanent tooth in due time. But I also knew that God was caring for the child and that Christian Science heals.
