WHAT A TRUE BLESSING Christian Science has been to me. I have relied on it for healings of broken ankles, cuts, burns, financial difficulties, relationship problems, and numerous other difficulties. There is not enough space to list all of the many, many healings that I have had, but I am grateful for them all. I would like to share some of the recent ones.
Everything in God's universe is in complete balance.
One morning, just before Christmas, as I was attempting to get out of bed, I fell to the floor. I was unable to stand because I was dizzy and appeared to have no control in my legs. With an effort, I managed to pull myself back onto the bed. Once I was settled, I called a Christian Science practitioner, whose calm response was to assure me that everything in God's universe is under His government, and that it is in complete balance. Nothing could be out of balance, so even if I wanted to be, I could not be out of balance. The practitioner also reminded me that God loves me. After hanging up the phone, I was able to get very still and ponder this concept, which I prayed about the rest of the day. The next day I was able to sit up without being dizzy, and I was able to eat. Praying with "the scientific statement of being" (see Seeing and Health, p. 468) word by word, I was able to sleep through the night without too much difficulty. Within a few days I was able to return to work without any evidence of the problem.
