God’s help when in need

From the October 2025 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Recently when traveling home from Paris to London on a Eurostar train, I had reason to turn to the omnipresent and all-powerful God for help in the face of a time-sensitive need.

Whilst going through the security check at the train station, I put my passport in the tray along with other belongings. After boarding the train and taking my seat, though, I could not find the passport anywhere. I was convinced that I had failed to pick it up from the security tray. Reasoning, however, that nothing is lost under the all-seeing, all-knowing government of God, Mind, I was not perturbed.

I asked the guard on the train to contact the station and inquire whether my passport had been found. She was extremely helpful and willing. Having been in touch with the station, she even gave me interim reports, but with no positive news.
