Testimonies of Healing

In gratitude for all the blessings that Christian Science has brought into my life for more than fifteen years, I wish to add my testimony to those of the thousands who have found joy and freedom through the understanding of God and man as revealed through the consecrated, loving work of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I came to Christian Science for physical healing, and after two weeks of treatment was freed from severe backaches, the aftermath of a surgical operation.

Before taking up the study of Christian Science, four years ago, I had been a great believer in specialists and dietitians for the care and feeding of children. Consequently, I had my three children placed in their care most of the time.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I write of a beautiful double healing that occurred at a Christian Science lecture. I was feeling very poorly that day myself, and was also much distressed about a condition of fever that had taken hold of my elder boy.

I wish to express my gratitude for all the good that has come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. I have been interested in this religion for many years, and during that time have depended solely on it to solve my every problem, and it has never failed.

With a heart full of gratitude I wish to relate my healing, through Christian Science, of internal cancer. This took place in April, 1922.

When Christian Science came to me I was said to be on the brink of the grave. I was born and reared in Germany, and was living there at the time Christian Science came to my attention.

Christian Science has meant so much to me for such a long time that I feel I should be most ungrateful if I did not try to express some of the joy it has brought into my life. I came into it for the healing of nervous indigestion and constipation.

I am very grateful for an instantaneous healing in Christian Science, and for the proof that with every ill destroyed we are stronger and better able to overcome seemingly greater discords. One summer evening biliousness seemed to get the better of me.

I heard of Christian Science over ten years ago, while I was staying with friends in Canada. I did not know at first that they were Christian Scientists, but soon understood that they had something I lacked, something that seemed so peaceful that when I learned they were Christian Scientists I just walked into Science without hesitating; and since then I have known only blessings.

After considerable physical suffering I came to Christian Science for healing. I had been looking to materia medica for relief for some time, but had received no help; so, on the advice of an acquaintance who had been much benefited through Christian Science treatment, I sought the help of a practitioner.
