Testimonies of Healing

It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. For some years I suffered from stomach trouble, often having to be away from my work for a week or two at a time.

I have enjoyed the benefits of Christian Science since a small child, and wish to express my appreciation for all the help received. I have experienced the healing of grief, unemployment, influenza, sprained ankle, fallen arches, tonsillitis, eyestrain, colds, and other discordant conditions.

In the spring of 1909, after many years of suffering which seemed to become more intense under medical treatment, I was persuaded to make a final attempt to regain my health through a change of climate. For two years this change appeared to be somewhat beneficial, but during the succeeding eighteen months I lost all that I had gained and was worse than ever.

I wish to testify to the many blessings I have received since studying Christian Science. For many years I was an invalid, and I had been told by doctors that the only thing which could put me right was an operation.

One morning I put a pot of wax on the gas stove to melt, in order that I might wax some flowers. Just then I was called to the telephone.

About five years ago our baby manifested an aggravated condition of constipation which was very persistent, and each time it recurred it seemed harder to see its unreality. On page 233 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy we are told, "Every day makes its demands upon us for higher proofs rather than professions of Christian power.

I came to Christian Science about thirteen years ago when very unhappy, sick, and miserable. Since then we have had many beautiful proofs of God's tender love and care.

I wish to express my profound gratitude for Christian Science, and to enumerate some of the many blessings I have received through the application of divine Principle. My first healing in Christian Science occurred some twenty-two years ago.

All my life I had had to be doctored for various complaints, and had been in bondage to certain so-called health laws. From the first glimpse of Truth which I gained through the study of Christian Science, my life was completely changed.

I had known of Christian Science ever since I was a very little child, but was not ready to accept it until a few years ago. Only since then have I really made progress in the understanding of this great truth.
