Testimonies of Healing

About four years ago a friend was healed of rheumatoid arthritis by Christian Science treatment. I had never heard of Christian Science before, and began to wonder if it could heal my little boy, who was nearly two years old and was suffering from what the doctors called fluid on the brain.

It is a joy and a privilege to bear witness to the healing power of Truth through our periodicals. Late one afternoon I was attacked by symptoms of the grippe.

When "roughing it" on a motor trip, several hundred miles from home, I was suddenly taken ill with an acute attack of dysentery. We were in a place where there were none of the ordinary comforts or conveniences, and I was the only one who knew how to drive the car.

When Christian Science came to me I was unhappy, confused, disillusioned. This was attributed to material conditions, but I now know that what I needed was the spiritual understanding of Life.

Filled with joy I express my profound gratitude to God, ever present Love, who led me to Christian Science, through which I have gained the true knowledge of Deity, and have been healed. After I had been a medical nurse in Germany for ten years, I was taken seriously ill, so that it was necessary for me to go to my home in Jugoslavia, near Belgrade.

Obediently and in deep gratitude to God, I am sending this testimony, hoping that it may benefit others. I should like to tell of the healing of a sprained ankle.

For over eight years I was bitter against Christian Science and fought against what I believed it to be; but after seeing the good it was doing in my son's family, I decided to lay aside all prejudice and endeavor to investigate it for myself. What joy and comfort it has brought me in the past ten years! My first healing was of broken ligaments in one of my feet.

It is over thirteen years since I took up the study of Christian Science. I did not look into it first of all for healing, although I needed it very much, but for a religion.

For the numerous blessings which have been poured by infinite divine Love into the hearts of our children through the Christian Science Sunday School my wife and I are very grateful. We see with joy how our children recognize and apply the truth, and overcome many seemingly dangerous errors.

About seventeen years ago I was a sufferer from bronchial asthma. Several physicians declared there was no cure for me.
