Testimonies of Healing

Nearly six years ago I began to read Christian Science literature purely out of curiosity. I never dreamed of the good it was to pour into my life as the beauty of its teaching unfolded.

I wish to add my testimony evidencing God's allness and the nothingness of error. I had what the doctors called gastric ulcers of the intestines and bowels, and after having two very severe hemorrhages was left a complete wreck.

It is indeed a great privilege to tell of the blessings Christian Science has brought to me. While in a hospital for those suffering from incipient tuberculosis I was invited to attend the Christian Science services, which were being held in a home near by, and thinking it a good plan to spend a long Sunday afternoon away from the sickness about me and most of all to hear some good music, I went.

My sincere gratitude for the many healings received through Christian Science impels me to write this testimony. I have overcome headaches and intense nervous trouble in its many forms, through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.

When I first heard of Christian Science I loved the truth it teaches. The Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," with the Christian Science literature, have become my daily study.

The following experience seems to me to illustrate the teaching of Christian Science that all physical effects, even surgical conditions, are of mental origin. At nine o'clock one morning I was in an exposed part of the city when there was a high wind, and my hat was blown off.

A little more than three years ago Christian Science was first brought to my notice, but I did not understand how anyone could be healed without a doctor. An operation which was performed on my nose at that time, affected the eyes so badly I could not read and could hardly see without glasses.

Christian Science has brought such an abundance of good into my life that I never can find words to express my thankfulness. I have been changed from a despondent, nervous invalid to a useful, happy woman.

So much benefit has come to me through reading the testimonies of others, I feel that I should give some expression of my thankfulness. My first healing through Christian Science took place about two years ago when a dislocated vertebra of the spine became adjusted.

While in attendance at religious services at the front, I would often think of the time when being in the Army seemed a thing impossible for me. The doctors had said that I had a leakage of the heart and stomach trouble.
