Testimonies of Healing

I AM truly grateful for the help that Christian Science has been to me. In February, 1914, I was taken ill with hemorrhage.

Like many others, I came to Christian Science for physical healing, and was relieved of a stomach trouble of many years' standing. Before receiving Christian Science treatment I had tried several different systems of diet and every drug that I could hear of that was supposed to help my trouble, but I grew steadily worse.

It has been twenty years since Christian Science first came to my notice. Considering it to be some new fad of the moment, I did not think it was for me, nor did I care to investigate it further at that time; but after suffering physically for several years and failing to receive permanent relief from material means, I turned to it ten years ago for help, and through its healing efficacy was completely healed of two chronic ailments of many years' standing.

It is with the deepest sense of gratitude that I add my tribute to the power of Truth as revealed in Christian Science. For many years I suffered from violent headaches, kidney disorder, female trouble, weak heart, which was said to be hereditary, and other ills.

It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I send the particulars of my coming into Christian Science. In early youth I was thrown largely upon my own resources, and often in working out the vexed problems that presented themselves I found it most helpful to turn to the Bible for guidance.

When quite young I became afflicted with a rheumatic trouble which was attended by painful swelling of the joints. This ailment became very serious as years went on, and I would often suffer dreadfully for weeks at a time, my condition being such that I had difficulty in moving my hands and limbs.

IN March, 1912, when I applied I for Christian Science treatment, I was so weak that I could scarcely stand. I had been given up by several physicians, who said that with the best of care I might live a few years at the most, but that I would be able to do only the lightest work.

Christian Science has opened to me a new way of viewing life, and has brought me such a substantial basis on which to work that I daily rejoice over the blessing. I have had several healings.

It is three years since I turned to Christian Science for physical healing, which had been sought through materia medica until one physician admitted it could do nothing for me, and that it was useless for me to employ this agency any longer. I left my place of business one day about noon, as I was not feeling well, and upon reaching home, or shortly thereafter, had an attack which the doctor who was hurriedly summoned pronounced heart failure.
