Testimonies of Healing

The Spring of 1999 was late in arriving on the Pacific Coast. Winter seemed unwilling to let go, and the weeks of cold, rainy weather continued.

Recently My Husband's office lease was going to expire. Seven months before the expiration date, we prayed diligently together, as well as with the support of a Christian Science practitioner, to find suitable office space.

Over The Years I have been healed of many physical difficulties through reliance on the power of God as taught in Christian Science. In previous testimonies I have told of healings of tumorous growths.

Recently I was ill , and I woke one morning feeling as though I were passing on. I turned whole-heartedly to God in prayer.

My Mother died rather suddenly when I was about twelve years old. It came as quite a blow to my two sisters and my father.

Since My Childhood , I had put up with cold sores appearing on my lips. Over the years I decided that this occurred when my lips became dry after exposure to wind or sun.

Two Years Ago a woman who underwent a thyroid operation urged me to see a doctor, as my neck seemed swollen. Since the situation did not bother me, I forgot about it until last year when several more people commented on it.

One Friday evening while our family was all together, I started having chest pains that were very severe. I went upstairs to my bedroom and read from Science and Health, before falling asleep for a short time.

One Morning I was waiting at the bus stop for my school bus. As soon as I got onto the bus, I started having a stomachache.
