Testimonies of Healing

God Brought Me into the Science of the Christ through continual contact with students of Christian Science. When I was a baby and while growing up, our next-door neighbour was a student.

Christian Science Came into my life when I married. My husband and I attended a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and often went to the Wednesday evening testimony meetings.

When I Left My Native country over sixty years ago, my dear mother very wisely packed the Bible, along with Science and Health, into my trousseau. I settled happily in my dear, adopted country, the two books went on a shelf with others, and I thought no more about them.

When I was preparing for the birth of our first child, I was informed that a problem existed, since the blood types of my husband and me included an Rh factor incompatibility, which was told could cause health problems for the child. This information was conveyed to the Christian Science practitioner treating me through prayer at the time.

Wherever He may guide me, No want shall turn me back; My Shepherd is beside me, And nothing can I lack. Hymn No.

This Testimony is long overdue. There is much that I have to thank and glorify God for, not least for being led into Christian Science many years ago after much searching for the sunlight of Truth.

When I Was Returning from a trip overseas, while awaiting the long flight ahead, I began to feel quite ill, even blacking out momentarily. My daughter, a Christian Science practitioner and my companion on the trip, immediately began praying for me.

Many years ago, whilst undertaking studies at university, I appeared to suffer a mental breakdown. I was introduced to a Christian Science practitioner and, through her prayer, experienced a spontaneous healing.

Christian Science has been central to my everyday life since infancy. Just how central I learned only recently.

I seemed to have a lot of things on my plate—and all of them exhilarating. I was about to start rehearsals for a show I had been given a part in.
