Testimonies of Healing

My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the wonderful concept of home and heaven that my study of Christian Science has brought me. Not long ago I decided to leave the Midwest and relocate to New England, where I had been brought up.

I have had many physical healings, including immediate reversal of cold and flu symptoms, when I recognized I had let the belief of contagion become frightening to me. The truth is that as children of God, none of us can be infected by others or pass anything on to one another except love.

During the summer I was walking barefoot in my home one hot afternoon when I whacked my right foot hard against the two-inch-high stone hearth of our fireplace. The pain was excruciating.

Christian Science has blessed my life since childhood. This healing truth was introduced to my family by an uncle who had been healed of the smoking and drinking habits.

I Love To See how our study and prayer bring us closer to God, to understand His all-power and error's no-power. One winter we joined another family for an afternoon of tobogganing.

One recent Saturday morning I became ill with flu symptoms. I was scheduled to work in the Christian Science Reading Room, that afternoon, and to do some visiting afterward.

Several years ago , I woke in the middle of the night with abdominal pain. It wasn't particularly severe.

It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I express long overdue thanks to God for the many blessings that that have come into my life as a result of Christian Science. I was introduced to its teachings by my mother, who in 1922 enrolled me in the Christian Science Sunday School.

When I First encountered Christian Science, I was very confused. I had dropped out of a medical career in the hope of finding something better.
