Testimonies of Healing
In 1989 I moved to a place that is nicely accessible to public transportation in order to travel without difficulty. But my office was still some distance away, which was not convenient.
Testimonies of healing shared in Christian Science churches and magazines have contributed a great deal to my spiritual growth. One healing in particular awakened me more fully to God's ever-present love, and to the efficacy of Christian Science to heal.
A grateful heart a garden is, Where there is always room For every lovely, Godlike grace To come to perfect bloom. "Christian Science Hymnal", No.
In March 1989, while on a visit to my hometown with my husband, my oldest brother and I were taking care of some family business when we were involved in a rearend auto collision. A policeman had been across the street and witnessed the whole scene.
I must offer my gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for the Church she founded, and for all the loyal workers who have made possible the church organization, the Bible Lessons, the Christian Science magazines, and the outreach of shortwave radio broadcasts When I became pregnant with my fourth child, I was just preparing to start a career. The other children were in school, and I'd just completed major commitments of service to my branch church.
When my first healing took place in Christian Science, I had been married six years. My mode of transportation to work was elevated rapid transit.

Perhaps you can imagine how excited I was when I learned I was being sent to the Middle East for a six-week engineering assignment. I love to travel, and had heard from others in my office about the country I was going to visit.
I have been blessed by Christian Science all of my life, but have never submitted written thanks for the blessing. I have had many healings by holding to the spiritual truths learned in Sunday School, in Christian Science class instruction, and in daily study of the Christian Science Bible Lessons.
Years ago when I was quite new to Christian Science, I was a gym teacher. I was supervising a ballgame of older girls in the schoolyard.
