Testimonies of Healing
Words are not adequate to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science and for the blessings and healings I have experienced. I began to study this Science because a friend invited me to attend the services of a group of Christian Scientists who were meeting informally in central Java.
It is difficult at times to say how grateful we really are, but it is time for me to do so. Like many Christian Scientist parents, I am most grateful for healings of our children.
I am very grateful for the many avenues through which the truths of Christian Science come to bless us. I particularly appreciate the healing truths shared with us in the videotape of the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church for 1986.
Testimonies of healing given at Wednesday evening testimony meetings and those published in the periodicals have been a great help and source of inspiration to me for many years. With this in mind, I wish to share some healings I have had through the study and application of Christian Science.
In thinking of the numerous ways in which God has become nearer and dearer to me, I am filled with gratitude. There have been many physical healings, as well as experiences of protection and the resolution of discordant situations.
Christian Science entered my life in the fall of 1979, and since that time my family and I have been the beneficiaries of many wonderful blessings. The following was my first healing in Christian Science.
One evening I received a call from one of my daughter's friends who told me that my daughter had been in a car accident. I called a Christian Science practitioner in our town and asked her to pray for me and for my daughter.
Sharing with others what Christian Science has meant in my life is a way for me to thank God for all my blessings. My family's introduction to Christian Science came about when I was a young girl through the healing of my mother, who had been sickly all her life.
It is difficult to know where to begin a testimony when your life has been filled with healings in Christian Science. My childhood was blessed by a mother who consistently followed the teachings of this Science.
For over seventy years the teachings of Christian Science have been my help and guide. Since childhood I have had many proofs of God's care.
