Testimonies of Healing
Having known nothing but the healing power of God as taught in Christian Science all my life, I have much for which to be grateful! So-called children's diseases, an infected thumb, a sprained ankle, concussion, and car sickness were all taken care of harmoniously without medication of any kind and were healed effectively through the application of Science, and the healings have been permanent. Knowing that man's true employment is to reflect God, I was led to leave home and accept more challenging activity in another state during World War II.

Being a college student, I find opportunities each day to put into practice what I have learned in Christian Science. My religion has guided me in both my academic and my social activities.
Although Nicodemus said to Jesus, "No man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him" ( John 3:2 ), he did not know how to attain spirituality of thought, which possesses the assurance of God's presence. Jesus' words showed the way to attain it for all time and for all men.
Words are inadequate to express the depth of gratitude that I feel in my heart for Christian Science, for the freedom from limitations, for the continuous good health, and for the harmony it has brought into my life. When I was a child my front teeth protruded badly.
Since I first read a Christian Science periodical, I have felt the hallowing influence of Science every day. I loved the Bible and had studied the New Testament and much of the Old Testament.
It is with a heart overflowing with gratitude and love for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who discovered and gave to the world the priceless blessing of Christian Science, that I submit this testimony.
Shortly after World War II, I married. I soon noticed that my wife had a great faith in the power of prayer to meet human needs.
It is with sincere gratitude to Christian Science for the help it gives in every sphere of one's experience that I submit this testimony. Before beginning the study of Science I was an active member of an orthodox Christian church and still have memories of very happy times there.
Over twenty-five years ago my first testimony was published in the Sentinel. During the intervening years the blessings of Christian Science that have come to me and my family have been many.
