Testimonies of Healing

A heart filled with love and gratitude impels me to share the healings and the joyous spiritual unfoldment which have resulted from my study of Christian Science. One day after eight weeks of serious illness, I faced the fact that medicine was not helping me, and I refused to take any more of it.

Joyously I express my gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought into my life. It has enriched my experience not only with daily supply, but with love, friendships, and an ever-increasing unfoldment of spiritual understanding.

I have had so many proofs of the healing power of Christian Science and of the loving care of our Father-Mother God that I want to share some of these experiences with those who are searching for the truth. Christian Science came to me when I was a teenager and away from home, traveling with a road show.

With a great desire to share the good which has come to me through Christian Science, I submit this testimony. It was nearly thirty years ago that a friend whose integrity and character I admired very much took me for the first time to a Christian Science testimony meeting.

Christian Science came into my experience when I was a small child, and has always been counted as my most precious possession. The application of its unerring rules brought abundant health, happiness, and freedom in the years when my children were growing up, and during that time we experienced many beautiful healings.

Joyfully I should like to bear witness to the truth of the statement ( Hebr. 4:12 ), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword.

" I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known" ( Isa. 42:16 ).

Early in my study of Christian Science, before I had become a member of The Mother Church or a branch church, I experienced acute choking and strangling in my throat. I began declaring truths that I knew at the time.

Christian Science has brought me many blessings and healings since I began its study while away from home teaching school, but my first big test was outstanding. From childhood I had been subject to attacks of inflammatory rheumatism, which recurred at intervals with increasing severity, often crippling me for days or weeks.

I am very grateful for Christian Science and for the many healings it has brought to me and my family. One day I received a telephone call from my husband, saying a tornado warning had been issued for this area and that he could see the twister outside his window approximately a mile or two away.
