
Testimonies of Healing
About twenty-five years ago I was very ill and despondent, having tried many material means to regain my lost health but to no avail. I think what worried me most was the thought that I would not live to rear our children.
For over fifty years I have been receiving great blessings due to the knowledge of Christian Science which I have gained over that period of time. I came into this Science through my mother's healing of grief and of various physical difficulties which had kept her in ill-health for many years.

It is with sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science and for the many blessings it has brought me that I give this testimony. My first healing was that of a chronic throat trouble which had bothered me all through my early childhood.
While reviewing some home movies recently, our family was reminded of a healing which occurred as a result of holding to the truths taught in Christian Science. We had almost forgotten about this event, since it occurred a number of years ago.
I have had so many blessings through the application of Christian Science that I should like to express my gratitude by relating an interesting experience which I had about three years ago. For a long time I had desired greatly to visit the Holy Land and to see the country where Jesus performed his miracles and talked with his disciples.
About fifteen years ago I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for the first time. My main reason for reading it was curiosity, because I had seen a great change in a member of my family from the time that she had started the study of this textbook.
Since childhood I have enjoyed the comfort and blessing that a knowledge of Christian Science brings. When I was twelve, I joined a branch church.
"How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them ! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand" ( Ps. 139: 17,18 ).
So many rich experiences have I had through God's gracious goodness that it is difficult to decide which to relate. John writes about Jesus' works thus ( 21:25 ): "If they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.
