This is a joyful opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science. In 1927, I became interested in this Science and with the encouragement of a cousin began to study it. Shortly afterward I became a member of The Mother Church and a branch church, and a year later I had the privilege of having class instruction. This joyful experience was an answer to prayer. In submitting this testimony I desire to show how bountifully my family and I have been blessed.
Awakening early one morning, I felt a sense of confusion, nausea, and faintness overwhelming me. I tried several times to rise, and then I declared the inspired words of Mrs. Eddy (Pulpit and Press, p. 4), "You have simply to preserve a scientific, positive sense of unity with your divine source, and daily demonstrate this."
Directly I was able to arise, grope my way to the telephone, and; call a practitioner. Endeavoring to rouse my thought to spiritual truths, she asked, "Who are you, and where do you live?" Too confused to make the right answers, I listened to her words of healing and felt relief from the physical condition. Returning to my room, I pondered the practitioner's questions, and thereafter I asked myself questions which I answered from a spiritually scientific standpoint as follows:
