Testimonies of Healing

During the Second World War, I was a Navy pilot. I flew night fighters which required my operating them alone and usually many miles from my carrier.

Through the divine law of God, ever-present Life, Truth, and Love, as taught and demonstrated in Christian Science, I have been wonderfully protected and blessed. I was healed of a stroke and its bad effects in seven hours.

I was privileged to attend the Christian Science Sunday School from an early age, and through the years I have had many proofs of the healing and saving power of the truth. When quite young, one of our sons became very ill.

As a child I was healed through Christian Science of tuberculosis of the hip. I attended the Sunday School from the age of ten until I was twenty.

I should like to tell of three healings that have come to our family during the last few years, with the hope that they will help others. Not long ago, our younger son had a serious accident while he was staying with his elder brother in the country.

Mary Baker Eddy states in Science and Health ( p. 494 ), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.

The following is an experience which came to me in my capacity as an industrial engineer. In 1932, when the depression was being felt, the owner of a company requested my services in an endeavor to save his business from liquidation by his creditors.

It is a great privilege to comply with the Bible injunction ( Ps. 107:2 ), "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.

From earliest childhood one of my great desires was to be very devout, and because I did not attain this goal, I was often very sad. Later on, even though I was enjoying a happy and harmonious married life, I often suffered from a sense of depression, which my husband used to describe as the earth weight.

For many proofs of God's infinite care for His children, I am deeply grateful. Since early childhood I have received healings through the application of Christian Science.
