Testimonies of Healing
It was about fifteen years ago that I first learned of Christian Science. For some time prior to this I had been convinced that there must be a religion which I could understand and live, although I had failed to find it through studying and reading works on every religion brought to my attention.
Christian Science was presented to me for the second time about fifteen years ago. Several years before this I had seen my sister healed of pneumonia in a few hours, but had gradually forgotten about it.
For the many blessings I have received through the study and sincere application of Christian Science, I owe endless thanks. I felt the touch of this Science for the first time while in kindergarten.
My gratitude for Christian Science grows daily as I see it accomplish its mission of bringing heaven to our consciousness now. Our two-year-old daughter was beautifully and quickly cared for through Christian Science treatment after what appeared to be a serious accident.
I was led into the study and application of Christian Science for our son, who after six years of medical treatment was failing rapidly. He suffered from a painful case of eczema, accompanied by kidney trouble, headaches, and weakness.
Christian Science came into my life when my whole world appeared to be tumbling down. I was most unhappy, my health was poor, and I was terribly confused.
It is with a heart filled with gratitude for the teachings of Christian Science that I submit this testimony. I have had many instantaneous physical healings, and numerous business problems have been solved.
I first heard of Christian Science when living in Boston, Massachusetts. A girl with whom I was acquainted asked me to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in The Mother Church.
" Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord" ( Lam. 3:40 ).
I have received so much inspiration from reading the testimonies in our periodicals that I now desire, to contribute mine so that others may benefit as I have. The first healings I received through the work of Christian Science practitioners were those of eczema, chilblains, falling hair, and constipation.
